A year working at Miro as the first UX Researcher
After my first year working at Miro I can only say “thank you” for giving me the opportunity to be part of this thriving team. For those wondering if this is something for you, here are my reflections.
A challenging mission: Reinvent collaboration
2020 was an exceptional year for Miro. I joined the company in June motivated by the challenge of reinventing the rules of collaboration. I immediately understood the growth mindset and the need to quickly adapt our plans to better serve million of users who needed a shared place to work and feel connected to each other.
A collaborative culture
Hyper-growth means doubling the number of employees in a matter of months, growing user-base by 236% in less than 3 months and the use-cases we serve. This changing environment is balanced with strongly felt company values from which I highlight “Play as a team to win the world”. We go above and beyond to help each other and it’s really comforting seeing how cooperation is much more valued than competition and individual recognition.
